さて２０１９年春の第１６回定期演奏会の概要が決まりましたのでお知らせいたします。
第１６回定期演奏会は、２０１９年３月２３日（土曜）、東京六本木のサントリーホールにて、午後公演として開催することが決定いたしました。指揮は第１４回に振っていただく田部井剛氏に、曲目はマーラーの交響曲第６番「悲劇的」（第３回定期以来の再演）およびヤナーチェクのシンフォニエッタに決まりました。
ヤナーチェクとマーラーはほぼ同世代で６歳違い、同じチェコに生まれながら対照的な人生を歩んだ二人ですが、今回取り上げる２曲には共通点がございます。ヤナーチェクのシンフォニエッタは和声法で禁じられている平行五度の旋律で衝撃的に始まる曲であること、マーラーは６番交響曲でハンマーを管弦楽に持ち出したこと、どちらも当時の管弦楽の常識を打ち破り新しい音楽表現を試みている点で、大変興味深いと思います。
なおサントリーホールは全席指定となっております。チラシ招待、前回演奏会からの招待の皆さまにおかれましては、当日受付にて指定席券への交換で対応させていただきます。人員と時間の関係上、お席のご指定はできませんので何卒ご了承下さい。
オケとしても初のサントリー公演を何としても成功させるべく全力を尽くす所存でございます。
